No matter how much we foresee a perfect life, time and tide wait for none. Time has etched a unique story for each one of us and each one shares a unique time frame on this earth.

When going through the loss of a beloved one, the comforting words of others usually seem empty, but this is the time when we need to understand that our path was never ours alone.

Strength can rebuild the broken world in curious ways, and thus strength alone can show you the new path.

A grief-stricken heart is much more dangerous than any disease. Thus, to handle your situation, you need to understand what you are dealing with.

Coping With Loss of Partner

Usually grief is accompanied by various other feelings:

• Bargaining
• Anger
• Depression
• Denial
• Acceptance

Grief for prolonged time can lead to depression, but otherwise grief is a feeling related to a momentary situation, whereas depression is a dead-end feeling.

You might feel disconnected with your present environment or may lose interest in the various activities around you, but you must understand that there is a reason that you are still here. Maybe you can still make a difference in this world.


If you have trouble in sleeping, rather than going for sleeping pills, you can start vigorous workouts. When the body faces a mental trauma, the first thing that is affected is the immune system.

Vigorous exercise not only fights the accumulation of toxins in your body, it also helps you to have a good night’s sleep.

Indulge Yourself in Productive Work:

Your attitude towards your current situation matters a lot. Though many will come and try to share your burden, but as long as you deny help, nothing can change. List out few things or hobbies that you would like to pursue.

Try helping others. Usually in grief, the sense of accomplishment by helping others heals an individual a lot. It makes your purpose in the world clearer and gives you zeal to work more.

Heal While You Cry:

While you are trying to be strong, do not stop your tears that are actually going to strengthen you. Crying is a healing device. Tears contain leucine-enkephalin, which is one of the brain’s natural pain relievers.

Death is a natural cycle. While it waits for every living entity around a corner, one must ensure to leave a good trail before embracing it.
