How to Make Leave-in Conditioners?

Leave-in hair conditioners are different from the regular conditioners that we use in the shower. A leave-in conditioners may remain in your hair until the next time you wash.

This conditioner helps to smooth damaged follicles, adds strength and retains the natural moisture levels in your hair. Leave-in conditioners may also help to soften hair, protect hair against the damage of styling instrument, reduces frizz and detangles your hair.

Most of the conditioning hair products available in the market may contain chemicals, synthetic ingredients and silicon that can actually damage your hair making them look dull and lifeless.

Homemade Leave in Hair Conditioner

How to Make Homemade Leave-in Conditioners:

1. Jojoba and Peppermint Oil: Jojoba oil stimulates hair growth and helps to add shine, elasticity and softness to your hair. You may use this leave-in conditioner almost every single day. Spray before you comb your hair and don’t forget to shake the sprayed bottle before use.

How to:

  • Take about 120 ml of water.
  • Add about 60 ml of jojoba oil.
  • Add about 3 to 4 drops of peppermint essential oil.
  • Mix this well.
  • Pour it in a spray bottle.
  • And your leave-in conditioner is ready.

2. Rosemary Oil, Aloe Vera, Coconut and Almond Oil: Rosemary oil which we used in this hair conditioner has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It also helps reduce dandruff. Apply this conditioner before you comb your wet hair. It is best to start to apply a leave-in conditioner from the ends and move up to the roots.

How to:

  • Take a cup of distilled water in a bowl.
  • Add half a cup of Aloe Vera Juice.
  • Add one teaspoon of coconut oil.
  • Add one teaspoon of lime juice.
  • Add 10 ml of almond oil.
  • Add half a cup of coconut milk.
  • Add about 40 drops of rosemary essential oil.
  • Mix this well.
  • Pour it in a spray bottle.
  • And store it in a cool place.
