Sports activities beneficial to kid’s health such as increased muscle and bone strength, improve heart health, blood circulation, control the child’s weight.

According to American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), your children need 60 minutes of physical exercise every day to Kids Health. A total of 60 minutes is not to be found in same time, but it can be summed up in a day to a total of 60 minutes.

Sports are recommended for kids: jogging, aerobics, running, riding a bike, walking uphill and downhill, and martial sport.

The problem that we have to consider for sake of kids health is physical inactivity, a condition in which the child is less physical activity. For example, children choose to use a vehicle driven to go to school than cycling or walking, children choose to play video games or watching television than play outside and others.

Sometimes, parents contribute to this condition due to various reasons such as fear of letting children play outside home that could harm child.

The AAP recommends that children under 2 years of age should not be allowed to watch television, while children over 2 years of age should only be watching television more than 2 hours per day.

Sports for infants under 1 year of age:

Parents can teach physical activity that will help the baby’s development, especially development of gross motor. Infants should be placed in a safe place and parents facilitate physical activity and do not block baby to move to the motor movement ballpark or other developments.

By letting your baby freedom to move, it will give baby the opportunity to explore environment, learn and strengthen muscles.

Sports benefits for kid’s health of aged 1-4 years:

At the age of 1 to 4 years, a child is expected to be walking, running, and jumping. At this time, sport is necessary to strengthen the basis of gross motor abilities, training functions and motor skills, as well as development of hand-eye coordination skills, balance, and physical motion.

The most common form of physical activity during this period is active play such as walking, climbing, and running. Another form is practicing dancing, which also trains the child to follow orders.
